For many, summer camps are the ultimate highlight of the year. The new experiences. The independence. Great friends. Summer love. Even the talent shows. It all culminates into magical memories that last a lifetime.
As we start getting ready for camp season, we’ve been reflecting on a few of our favourite things about summer camps:
Nature. The smell of a campfire. The glow of ridiculously bright stars in the night sky. The feel of warm summer wind on your skin. There’s nothing quite like being in nature, disconnected and without a care in the world. It’s definitely one of the best things about summer – and at camp, you have nothing but time to reconnect with it.
Lifelong Friends. Where else can you easily meet new people from all over the place, bond over anything and everything, or discover your long-lost kindred spirit? Summer camp affords us the opportunity to meet besties and friends we’ll keep for a long, long time. That’s something that we rarely forget.
The Lake Swims. There’s nothing better than launching yourself into a lake on a hot summer day to cool off. Not to mention the canoeing and kayaking. You just can’t beat tiring yourself out in fresh water before drifting off for a long, relaxing sleep at night.
Campfire Songs. Who doesn’t love a little rendition of Great Big Moose, Princess Pat, Boa Constrictor or Boom-Chica-Boom every now and again? The hilarious and fun campfire songs will make you feel like a kid again well into adulthood.
Now it’s your turn! In the comments below, tell us your favourite thing about camp for your chance to WIN 1 of 3 Camp Label Packs from Mabel’s Labels!
