She Ran 26.2 Miles with Mabel’s Help!

The year 2010 was filled with memorable, successful fundraisers with the help of Mabel’s Labels’ Fundraising Program. From preschools to mom groups and camps to swim teams, non-profits across were earning commission toward their goals (and still are!)

One of the most memorable fundraisers for us was coordinated by an avid runner named Karen. She is part of a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training. She informed us that Team in Training fundraisers account for 50% of research money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It is truly a great cause, as Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer and survival rates for some blood cancers is up from 30% in the 1960's to 60% today. What a difference!

Congratulations on reaching your fundraising goals, Karen. We can only imagine what it feels like to accomplish running 26.2 miles and are so pleased to have helped so much in achieving numbers beyond what you expected.

Karen’s next mission is to run a marathon in Rome for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is still fundraising with Mabel and we’ll be cheering her on from Mabel HQ come March! She says it begins in front of the 2,000-year-old Coliseum and winds through the ancient Roman streets. How cool is that?
